Farm to Table New Mexico honors and celebrates the
extraordinary leadership of our founder, Pam Roy

For close to 25 years, Pam has served as Executive Director as well as the primary policy staff person, building Farm to Table into a trusted voice and advocate for New Mexico’s farmers, ranchers, communities, and families.

Born and raised in Santa Fe, Pam has dedicated her life to strengthening food and agriculture systems locally, nationally, and internationally. Under her leadership, Farm to Table launched New Mexico’s farm to school movement in 2001, helped found the National Farm to School Network, and guided the work of the New Mexico Food & Agriculture Policy Council and the Santa Fe City and County Food Policy Council. She has been a driving force in shaping policy through her work with the NM Grown Coalition, the Governor’s Food Initiative, the Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, and the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition.

Pam’s vision, tenacity, and deep commitment have laid the foundation for lasting change—expanding opportunities for farmers and ranchers, ensuring healthy food for children and elders, and building stronger, more resilient communities.

As Farm to Table opens a new chapter, we are excited to share that Pam will transition into the new role of Policy Director. Policy work has always been a central part of the Executive Director’s duties, but thanks to its growth and success, it now deserves a dedicated leadership position. In this role, Pam will continue to strengthen policy efforts that benefit New Mexico’s food and agriculture systems, while mentoring the next generation of leaders.
